Twice Baked Potatoes

A Southern Favorite… 8 medium potatoes 3 T. butter 1/2 C. milk 1 C. cheese, grated salt and pepper to taste Cut off tops of potatoes after they have baked in oven about 1 hour. Scoop out insides and mix with rest of ingredients. Fill potatoe shells and bake again for 20 minutes.

Sweet Potatoes

6 medium sweet potatoes 1 tsp. salt 3 T. flour 1 C. brown sugar 2 T. margarine 1 C. milk small marshmallows Cook potatoes until tender. Drain and cool. Slice and put in a baking dish. Mix sugar, flour and salt. Pour over potatoes. Dot with margarine. Pour milk over top. Bake at 350 degrees […]

Potato Puffs

1 C. leftover mashed potatoes 1 or 2 eggs, beaten 1/4 tsp. salt 1 tsp. baking powder 1/4 to 1/2 C. flour Mix well and drop by teaspoon in deep fat. Fry until golden brown on both sides.

Cowboy Beans

1 to 1 1/2 lbs. ground beef 1/2 onion, diced 1 large can Bush’s Baked Beans 2 T. catsup 2 T. mustard salt and pepper to taste Brown ground beef, salt, pepper and onion in skillet. Add baked beans, catsup and mustard. Simmer for 20 minutes. Great with Texas toast and macaroni and cheese.

Baked Green Beans

1 qt. green beans 1 can mushroom soup 1/2 C. water or milk 1 tsp. salt 1 C. buttered bread crumbs Place beans in a baking dish. Dilute soup with water or milk and pour over beans. Season with salt and pepper. Cover with bread crumbs. Bake at 375 degrees for 30 minutes.
